Grow Room Setup
|
First off you will need to decide on your space/room(s) . The typical grow setup will have a separate area for vegging and flowering as light cycles and lighting may differ during each. but if you arent lucky enough to have more than one room or space thats fine. all spaces can be utilized ad depending on your own personal habit or need you should determine how many trees are right for you .
the next things on your list of items include : 1. Your Primary light(s) and any supplemental side lighting. 2. Fan(s). for intake and exhaust. 3. Light hanger (portable closet racks work well for smaller setups) 4. Ducting for exhaust (may be necessary in closed spaces) 5. Wall Reflectors (mylar) or all white walls 6. Floor Lining or setup that keeps plants from being directly on flooring. *grow tents also work well within a space as it has the build in reflectors as well as spaces for intake/exhaust First Important step is choosing the right light for your Environment . You must take into account the heat generated from your choice especially if you have a relatively small space to work with. Hps Lights give off the most heat of the popular options. Some of the portable light hanger options can go up and down as necessary as plant grows so choosing one that has that option will come in handy for you in cases of unexpected overgrowth. (target has easily adjustable one for under 20$ if needed :) ) Having your floors lined with plastic or tarp is good if you have carpeting, but keep your plants elevated or not directly on your flooring .boxes, crates, shoe cases all work well to accomplish this when on a budget.leaves and random water splash may occur and you will the easy clean up in your space. keeping your environment water proof will help to avoid mold and moisture problems.water catchers or trays from any garden shop or online works well . You will thank me later. Temperature and Humidity Optimal Temperatures for most cannabis plants are between 70-80 degrees, but no higher than 85(Fahrenheit) . the plants begin to get uncomfortable in higher temperatures and the quality and potency of your herb will suffer accordingly. Humidity during vegetative stage is allowed to be higher . between 50- 75 is ok. however during the flowering stage your humidity should be between 40-55. Higher humidity during flowering may cause mold if air circulation is not satisfactory. |
